2.  Touch any one of the metal connectors on the back of the computer.  (This will discharge any static electricity that may be on your body or clothes.) 

3.  Attach the system cable 
DB-25 pin connector to the SCSI port on the computer.

4.  Tighten the thumbscrews on the DB-25 connector.
